02 - 2 tbsp olive oil
03 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
04 - 1/2 tsp sea salt
05 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
06 - 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
07 - 1/2 tsp dried Italian herbs
08 - Zest of 1 lemon
09 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
10 - 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped plus extra for garnish

→ To Serve

11 - Lemon wedges

# How to Make It:

01 - In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, dried Italian herbs, and lemon zest. Whisk until thoroughly incorporated.
02 - Add shrimp to the marinade bowl and toss thoroughly to ensure even coating. Allow to marinate for 5 minutes at room temperature.
03 - Sprinkle grated Parmesan and chopped parsley over the marinated shrimp. Toss again to distribute evenly and ensure coating adheres to each piece.
04 - Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 2 minutes to ensure optimal cooking temperature.
05 - Place shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, taking care not to overcrowd. Cook in multiple batches if necessary to maintain proper air circulation.
06 - Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket or turning shrimp halfway through cooking. Shrimp are done when opaque throughout and lightly golden.
07 - Transfer cooked shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with additional fresh parsley and arrange lemon wedges alongside for squeezing.

# Tips for Success:

01 -
  • Ready in under 20 minutes with almost zero cleanup
  • That restaurant quality garlic Parmesan crust without heavy batter or frying oil
02 -
  • Overcooked shrimp become rubbery, so pull them out the second they turn opaque throughout
  • Work in batches rather than overcrowding the air fryer basket or they'll steam instead of getting that nice golden crust
03 -
  • Preheat your air fryer for the crispiest results, even if your manual says it's not necessary
  • Use a light coating of cooking spray on the basket if your shrimp tend to stick
