Salmon fillets glazed with honey, garlic, and soy, baked to juicy tenderness and topped with fresh parsley.

# What's Needed:

→ Fish

01 - 4 skin-on salmon fillets, 6 oz each

→ Marinade & Sauce

02 - 3 tablespoons honey
03 - 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
04 - 3 large garlic cloves, minced
05 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
06 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
07 - ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ Garnish (optional)

08 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
09 - Lemon wedges for serving

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and black pepper until well blended.
03 - Place salmon fillets skin side down on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Brush or spoon the honey garlic mixture evenly over the tops of the fillets, reserving about 2 tablespoons for basting.
05 - Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork.
06 - Halfway through baking, baste the fillets with the reserved sauce for added flavor.
07 - Remove from the oven and allow the fish to rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

# Tips for Success:

01 -
  • It comes together in under thirty minutes, which means you can look like you spent hours in the kitchen when really you were just being smart about it
  • The sauce is pure magic—sweet, savory, and garlicky in a way that makes people ask for the recipe before they even finish eating
  • Salmon gets such a bad reputation for being intimidating, but this method guarantees perfectly cooked, moist fish every single time
02 -
  • Overcooking salmon by even a minute turns it from silky to dry—start checking at the 12 minute mark and use the fork test faithfully
  • Don't skip the reserved sauce basting step. I used to skip it thinking it wasn't necessary, and the difference between just okay and absolutely delicious is that one simple brush halfway through
03 -
  • Make the sauce the night before and keep it in the fridge. In the morning, you realize you've already done the hardest part, and dinner becomes just assembly and timing
  • If you accidentally overbake the salmon, drizzle some extra lemon juice over it immediately—the acid tricks your brain into thinking it's more moist than it is
