01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Using a serrated bread knife, slice rolls horizontally as a block to form top and bottom layers.
03 - Arrange bottom half of rolls on prepared baking sheet. Evenly layer sliced cheddar cheese and optional ham or turkey over the rolls.
04 - Place top half of rolls over the fillings. In a small bowl, combine melted butter with optional mustard, honey, and garlic powder, then brush this mixture across the roll tops.
05 - Transfer to oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
06 - Allow to cool for 2 minutes before slicing into individual mini sandwiches. Serve warm.
